Chair Person's Program Summary
Collecting recipes from as many members as possible will certainly ensure the success of your cookbook program. The person you choose to be the Recipe Collection Phase Leader should be the most dependable and outgoing member of your organization. Everyone likes to see their name in print, and in turn, will purchase copies of your cookbook to send to their friends and relatives. This means more sales and profits from the program. If more than one person donates the same recipe, submit the recipe only once for your cookbook and place both donors' names under the recipe.

Individuals Names Are Very Important
In This Program

The ideal number of recipes from each person is two or three. However, if a person is known for being an excellent cook, more recipes would certainly be warranted. The recipe collection form should be printed out and handed to everyone you want a recipe from. If more than one person donates the same recipe, submit the recipe only once for your cookbook and place both donors' names under the recipe.

Recipe Collection Forms

It is not mandatory that you print and use our recipe collection forms. However, if you do not use them, please use uniform size sheets of paper and print only one recipe per page. Use the front of the paper only. All recipes should be printed using our standard format, with the ingredients at the top and the method to follow. All recipes should be either hand-printed or typed. NO longhand please! If a recipe requires more than one page, continue on another sheet and staple them together. If your group is large, you can either mail the recipe collection forms to your members or the Recipe Collection Phase Leader can select several people to distribute them.

It is important that you give a deadline for the recipes to be turned back in. If people aren't prompt, your program will take too long and lose its excitement. Seven days is plenty of time to get the recipe forms back. People should be contacted again if they go beyond that. Also, remember that every recipe has a title so it can be sorted into the proper section.
