Windows Install Instructions
Please note that the file is approximately 1.4 MB in size and you will need about 2MB additionally during the install process.
Save the file in a temporary directory on your hard drive, then expand it by double-clicking on
SC.EXE through the Windows File Manager or the Windows Explorer. Begin the install by double-clicking on SETUP.EXE in the
expanded directory. Additional step-by-step install instructions as well as detailed user instructions are provided in the
Short/Cut Instruction Manual. The Short/Cut Instruction Manual is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file and
is also included in the expanded directory. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free program) to view/print the manual.

Once the install completes successfully, you can safely delete the contents of the temporary directory.
Mac Install Instructions
Depending on how your browser is set up, you may need to do two or three steps to install the
Mac version:
If your browser automatically decompresses .hqx files, you just need to
double-click the short.sit file located on your desktop. This will expand the installer. After
you do this, double-click the Short/Cut installer icon. The program will be installed to your
applications folder on your hard disk.
If your browser does not automatically expand .hqx files, you will need to run Stuffit expander
and expand the macsc.hqx file. Stuffit is available on the internet at:
After you expand the file with Stuffit, you will find a short.sit file on your desktop. Double-click
this file and the installer will expand. Then double-click the Short/Cut installer icon and the
Short/Cut program will be installed in your appplications folder on your hard drive.
